PACK 5000 - Flat Carton Packaging and Serialization Solution has a small footprint, designed for complex coding and high resolution thermal inkjet printing requirements for packaging and pharmaceutical serialization and track & trace information. Flat cartons are placed on the Friction Feeder and are dispensed as single products on a vacuum conveyor. The products are transported through the feeder exit, and prints variable serialized data onto flat cartons. The integrated camera system verifies the data.
Serialization requires a comprehensive system to track and trace the passage of prescription drugs and pharmaceutical products throughout the entire distribution and supply chain. Serialization is able to identify every product’s serial number, origin, shelf life and batch number; tracing the products life cycle from production, through distribution to patient. With a reliable 1D or 2D barcode reader, pharmaceutical products and packages can be verified to ensure 100% accuracy.
