Print any label volumes

Daily print volumes can decide which label printer suits for an application. In addition, label sizes and print widths, the quality or resolution of a print image, label processing subsequent to the printing or interfaces required on a device each play a role.

Large quantities in industry

SQUIX printer mechanics are designed for continuous operation in harsh environments and printing large quantities of at least approx. 1,500 labels per day. To cover as many applications as possible, cab provides devices for maximum print widths 2", 4" or 6". These are added by modules to apply printed labels, rewind and unwind label rolls, cutters and stackers, sensors and barcode scanners.

Printers feeding materials aligned to the left process all common to particularly wide labels. Materials guided centered on the device benefit with printing very small labels or on slim continuous materials. Subsequent to the printing, labels are torn off or peeled off the liner on a plate. The MT model prints textile tapes.

Smaller quantities in offices or retail

Before developing the EOS printers, cab asked customers: What do you need? Frequently it was heard that the printer should be small in size because little footprint is available at the place of operation. However, also features known from industrial printers were demanded. The EOS unites both requirement profiles for applications covering a maximum of 1,500 labels per day. EOS 2 is the compact one. To process large label rolls, EOS 5 offers the larger housing as needed. Devices operated with a battery allow mobile printing if no power socket is supplied on site.

Identities by labeling

Each product requires at least one label for identification, indication of ingredients or traceability. cab provides paper labels smooth and wood-free ex stock. Plastics such as Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polyester or Polyimid are tearproof and resist humidity and extreme temperatures, Polyolefin even in cryogenic applications as low as 196°C below zero. As of requirements, customers – depending, for example, from the industry – demand for customized label solutions.

Arguments for choosing cab labels

  • Extensive range ex stock

  • Labels may be manufactured also individually from more than 400 materials.

When printing labels in a thermal transfer process, a special ribbon is heated by the print head on selected spots. The color coating melts and transfers to the surface of a label. Wax melts particularly well in paper. Wax/resin mixtures make flexible in printing on smooth materials. Synthetic resin is particularly smear- and scratchproof, resists chemicals and oils and therefore predestines for printing in harsh environment on plastic labels.

Arguments for choosing cab ribbons

  • Heat dissipates in the best possible way to protect the print head.

  • Special backcoating prevents from friction resp. electrostatic charge.

Printing labels as well as dispensing them manually on a printer or automatically in production lines set the highest demands on quality, safety and reliability. cab consultants assist in selecting materials and support consistently until the materials have been integrated in the processes in an optimum way.
