Automated labeling | New benchmarks set by a print module, a labeler and a sensor

New benchmarks set by a print module, a labeler and a sensor

IXOR is a networker. LAN and WLAN interfaces enable to connect to the superordinate control unit of machines in a plant. MQTT ensures cross-platform communication, Modbus, OPC UA and EtherNet/IP are options. By assembling the CEON high-tech sensor to the IXOR peel-off plate, even very thin, transparent or metallic materials can be detected and positioned exactly at any passage width. Material stretching is low on the peel-off plate, enabling labels peeled-off to be detected reliably.

The PX Q integrates to plants in any position and at any spot. Labels printed in large quantities in thermal mode are provided ready for subsequent application with an IXOR. Imprints remain legible during processing and storage, resist to extreme temperatures, liquids and solvents. Maximum print resolutions of 600 dpi, sharp-edge definition and high contrast enable even small barcodes to be verified.

If printed labels have to be applied precisely to goods, many common label application systems are pushed beyond their limits, especially if applications are high-volume, products got unconventional shapes or spots to apply a label are difficult to access. IXOR is different. The high-torque servo engine keeps up with every pace and allows conveyors speeding with 200 m/min even in long-term operation. It mechanically integrates to any plant on the basis of a modular kit consisting of motor-driven rewinders and unwinders, peel-off plates and assembly aids. As its case is only 54 mm deep and the control unit integrated in the device, IXOR accommodates in small installation space. Using a redundant system, zero downtime is possible.
