Manufacturer of cleaning products reduces leaks and product loss through induction cap sealing

Greyland Limited, a manufacturer of cleaning and chemical products, needed a solution to prevent its carpet cleaner from leaking during transport. To solve the problem, Greyland contacted Enercon Industries and purchased a manual induction cap sealer, the Super Seal™ Junior, and has now eliminated leaks.

A leading manufacturer of cleaning and chemical products has solved its problem of leaking bottles by moving to induction heat sealing.

Greyland Limited, a UK-based company, was searching for a solution to stop spillages of its carpet cleaner when they approached Enercon Industries.

Richard Dyson, Managing Director of Greyland, said: “Due to our boxes being thrown about by various parcel carriers, we had massive leakages for years.

“We tried using fragile labels, stronger packaging and tightening the caps, but induction sealing proved to be the most efficient solution.”

Greyland now seals its 1L and 2L plastic containers with Enercon’s hand held unit, the Super Seal™ Junior.

“We chose this induction heat sealer because it looked like a very easy and simple machine to use,” he said.

After adding induction sealing to the production process, Mr Dyson said he was satisfied with the results and confident that leakers and loss of product were a thing of the past.

“I believe leaks have dropped significantly since we started using the induction sealer and I would recommend Enercon to companies with similar problems,” he said.

Explaining the negative effect leaking products can have on companies, Enercon’s UK Sales Manager, Brian Tyndall, commented: “Leaking products can cost a company both financially in terms of product loss and from the impact to a brand’s reputation.

“By adding something simple like an induction seal, companies can prevent this from happening.”
