Background
SIMOTEC is the manufacturer and supplier for high-quality magnets and magnetic materials such as Neodymium Magnet, Ferrite Magnet, etc. There are numerous sizes and types available for Sintered and Rubber Magnet, as well as the industrial magnetic parts which can be used for sensors, motors, medical devices, precision machines, magnetic board, whiteboard, etc.
Situation
Code quality and missing codes were a real concern for SIMOTECH when it comes to the perceived product quality and traceability of their products. Every electronic part that is manufactured by SIMOTECH is traced, which is vital in the event of any incident. Solution
Continuous inkjet printer with pigmented inks for high contrast coding. Linx 8920 small character inkjet coder, The printer uses high-contrast, pigmented inks to create bright, clean codes on surfaces for which dye-based inks are not effective. It is capable of printing a variety of fonts in multiple languages, as well as codes, 2D DataMatrix codes, QR codes, custom logos, and graphics.
About the LINX 8920
At the conclusion of the evaluation process, Linx was selected and 2 8920 inkjet printers were installed. The change of coding equipment represents a significant technological leap for SIMOTECH; an improvement in terms of both product quality and production processes, as well as increased productivity for their line operators.
The coders are operational at a minimum of seven hours a day, five days a week in a single shift.
